Without over 150 forms of engineering, engineering is the process of using science and math to invent something. These imaginative people who take part in engineering are called engineers. Many famous people, including Ben Franklin and Alexander Graham Bell, are engineers. Engineering has been a thing since the early years of earth. Mankind has been repeatedly inventing things to better us. Engineering has revolutionized the world.

The word, engineer, is from (mainly) the Medieval Latin word: "ingeniare" (meaning to contrive, devise); Contrive - to create using skills; and
"ingenuim" (cleverness).

Types of Engineering
There are about 200 types of engineering. But since that's too tiresome, I might as well add the five types of engineering that come to my keen interest.
Military Engineering
Military Engineering is the designing/making of Military Works/Buildings, and maintaining military transportation and communication. Military Engineering is the oldest engineering, before Civil Engineering. A military engineer is a member of the military who is trained in engineering and construction-working. An example of Military Engineering is (if say) making a robot specially designed to detect bombs. Another example of Military Engineering is making a car designed for carrying weapons/bombs. Combat engineers are people who work on the battlefront, where they support soldiers (such as making a bridge to get the soldiers passed a river to seize an arsenal) and handling communication devices.
Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering is a form of engineering that deals with inventions/improvements with bridges, roads, buildings, dams, and walls. Civil Engineering the 2nd oldest form of engineering, after military engineering, which is engineering involving with the military. Civil Engineering is usually dealing with improving/inventing stuff that helps society. In which roads help with people to walk/drive their cars through, the invention of the car is civil engineering since it helps people get to one place to another faster and easier. Heck, even SHOES are a part of civil engineering, since it help people with walking/running around, and to not get their feet stepping on rocks/toys. Civil Engineering, basically, helps society. Civil Engineering also carries out a good comprehension of history and mathematics. Such as how big a wall needs to be for it to fit perfectly in with the other walls, which gives an understanding of length, width, and height, which is part of mathematics.

Ancient era
- Digging Trenches, that are performed in battlefield, are made by combat engineers, who are in charge of keeping mobility in the front lines of war. Same goes with creating facilities (temporary) in war-zone area.
- Stone Headaxe and Stone Knives, built by caveman in around the early earth time, are examples of civil engineering.
- Great Wall of China, a UNESCO Historical Site since 1987 (start construction in 770 BC, and improved extensively during the Min Dynasty; World Wonders) - Civil Engineering
- Minneriya tank, an artificial lake in Sri Lanka made in early Sri Lankan time. King Mahasena ordered a dam over the Minneriya lake, which created the tank. This tank is an example of Civil Engineering.
- Inclined plane (or simply known as "ramps"), were made from the Egyptions to help aid constructions, this is a perfect example of civil engineering.
- The Chinese Military made gunpowder, which revolutionized military engineering.
- The Roman Military would make roads that made it easy to resupply, when an enemy invades. This is in Roman military engineering.
- Archimedes, an ancient mathematical engineer, was one of the most leading engineers in whole time. And as well as one of the most leading mathematicians. Archimedes anticipated modern calcalus/math, and accurately proved several geometrical theories, such as the length of a circle.
- In 2550 BC, the first recorded engineer, an Egyption named Imhotep (as well as one of the earliest known architects and physician), built a famous pyramid in Saqqarah of King Zoser.
